Michael Olsen is a Shareholder at Winthrop & Weinstine in the Intellectual Property group. He counsels clients in a variety of complex intellectual property development and licensing matters and assists early-stage and growth-orientated medical device technology companies to maximize the value of their IP assets through a wide range of transactions that help increase their capital while protecting their IP ownership rights. He has extensive trademark and copyright experience and assists clients with a variety of e-commerce, software and technology licensing issues, including open source software and cloud computing issues.
Michael serves small- to mid-size companies and large public corporations, including international entities in a variety of industries ranging from outdoor/sports and recreation, medical device, software, food and beverage. He also speaks and writes regularly about technology and software licensing issues.
